Website terms UK / Draft for review

Terms & Conditions

These terms set out the basis on which you may use this website and engage Granular Metrics Ltd. for analytics, dashboard and reporting work.

Using this website, sending an enquiry or requesting services means you accept these terms. Read them before sharing information or asking us to start a project.

01 / SERVICE

Consultations, Dashboard Development and Analytics Services

Our dashboard consultancy terms begin with a clear brief. The exact scope, timetable and price for paid work will sit in a proposal or separate business intelligence service agreement.

Enquiries and consultations

An enquiry helps us understand your goals, data sources and decision points. A consultation may include questions about reporting, predictive analytics, data visualisation or performance monitoring. It does not create a project commitment unless both parties agree one in writing.

Project scope and delivery

We will describe agreed deliverables, milestones, dependencies and assumptions in the relevant proposal. Client data, access permissions and named contacts must be supplied in the format and by the dates agreed.

Change control

A material change to the brief, data source, dashboard design or reporting schedule may alter the fee and delivery date. We will confirm the effect before carrying out the changed work.

Review and acceptance

You must review dashboards, reports and models within the period stated in the proposal. A deliverable is treated as accepted when you approve it, put it into operational use or fail to raise a specific defect within that review period.

02 / TERMS

Fees, Intellectual Property and Confidentiality

These analytics contract terms separate payment, ownership and information duties. That keeps a working relationship clear when data and software cross between organisations.

Fees and invoices

Fees, expenses, VAT where applicable and payment dates will be stated in the proposal or service agreement. We may invoice by milestone, month or agreed project stage. You remain responsible for third-party licences, hosting and data services that you choose or require.

Intellectual property

Unless the written agreement says otherwise, Granular Metrics Ltd. retains ownership of its pre-existing methods, code, templates, models, know-how and reusable components. Once all agreed fees are paid, you receive the rights to use the project-specific dashboards, reports and outputs described in the agreement.

Confidential information

Each party must protect information marked confidential or reasonably understood to be confidential. This duty does not cover information already public, independently developed or required to be disclosed by law. Confidentiality continues after the work ends.

03 / RISK

Warranties, Liability and Termination

Analytics support decisions; it does not replace your professional judgement. Check important outputs against your own records before acting on them.

Decision support only

Dashboards, forecasts, models and reports are prepared from the information available to us. They are not financial, legal, tax, medical or other regulated professional advice. You remain responsible for decisions made using the outputs.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue or loss of anticipated savings. Any financial cap and exclusions will be set out in the applicable service agreement. Nothing limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Ending a project

Either party may end an engagement for a material breach that remains unresolved after written notice. A project may also end on the notice period agreed in writing. You must pay for work properly completed and provide reasonable access for the return or removal of your data.

Data at close

At termination, each party will return or securely delete confidential information where legally and technically practical. We may retain records needed for legal, tax, security or dispute purposes.

Check the project agreement

The signed proposal or service agreement takes priority where it contains terms that differ from this website document.
